Adam and I met at work - I was an apprentice chef and Adam was my mentor. We became best friends quickly as we were always on the same wavelength and found that we have the same sense of humour. It felt like we were made for each other.

I was initially hesitant to get into a relationship with Adam at the risk of ruining our bond as friends, but as time went by, I started feeling that Adam might be my soulmate.

I was right.

THE PROPOSAL

We were in Japan for a holiday during the cherry blossom season. It was a beautiful 25-degree day at Nara Park and we came to find the most beautiful spot with what seemed like hundreds of cherry blossom trees. The petals blew in the wind and fell down like snow. It was magical.

We set up a self-timer on our camera and took hundreds of photos. Suddenly, Adam dropped down on one knee and proposed.

It was such an amazing surprise.

THE DAY

We thought about having a traditional wedding but felt that it was all becoming 'too much' as we got to planning it. After a year of being engaged, we made a decision to elope in beautiful Siargao Island.

We exchanged vows at a spot called the Sea Of Coconutsagainst hundreds of towering palm trees as a backdrop. There, we made our promises to always love and be devoted to each other.

Our photographer Tessa captured the day perfectly and we ended the day watching the most magical sunset.

Everything about the day was perfectly us and somehow exceeded all of my expectations.

THE OUTFIT AND ACCESSORIES

We wanted to be completely present on the day and to be immersed in the moment, so it was important for us not to do anything too fussy with our look.

I don't naturally wear a lot of make-up so I went for a no-make-up make-up look, and wore my hair down with pearl barrettes.

Knowing that we would be eloping on a tropical island, I wanted my dress to be relaxed and something I'd feel comfortable wearing without having to adjust throughout the day.

The Cabo dress was absolutely perfect for me.

DEAR ADAM,
"The future holds many mysteries and there are things we can't guarantee. Promises will be made and some will be forgotten, but with this ring are my promises which will never be broken. I promise you that my love for you will always be real. To never hurt, never lie and never cheat. To love you more and more every day, and to always choose you in a different lifetime."

DEAR DIANA,
"Let this ring be a symbol of my everlasting love. I vow to forever be a source of happiness and laughter. To make you feel loved and appreciated. I promise to provide a safe and loving home for our family. To cherish every moment we share together and to always be by your side."
